Homeland Innovators Nonprofit – Housing First Mission
Our Mission
To innovate, build, and deliver affordable, safe, and sustainable homes in Southern Colorado — with a priority focus on families experiencing homelessness. We believe housing is the foundation of stability, dignity, and independence. Guided by the Housing First model, we work to create long-term solutions that directly address housing insecurity.
Our Vision
A Southern Colorado where every family has a safe place to live, grow, and rebuild.
Our Core Pillars
1. Affordable & Sustainable Housing Development
We are actively developing green, sustainable homes designed to support both residents and the long-term health of our environment.
2. Community Integration
Residents are placed in neighborhoods where they want to live — not where they’re forced to live — aligning with Housing First principles.
3. Partnerships & Collaboration
We partner with cities, agencies, nonprofits, and community leaders to build scalable housing solutions.
4. Supportive Service
We ensure individuals and families have access to essential resources including:
-
Case management
-
Education
-
Financial planning
-
Life skills support
-
Pathways to independence
Our History
Homeland Innovators Housing First was founded with the intent to reduce homelessness using the same model adopted by communities across the nation through the National Alliance to End Homelessness. Our founders saw the need to create more sustainable, scalable housing solutions in Pueblo and beyond. We continue to develop innovative strategies that can expand to other cities and states.
